Welcome to the official web page of the Forest City Police Department. Forest City Police Department is comprised of 31 full time sworn staff and two full time civilian personnel. Our staff services a community of approximately 7,500 residences in an 8.2 square mile city limits.
At FCPD we are committed to improving the quality of life of our community by offering the highest quality of police service to our citizens and visitors. We are a department of the community and we encourage your involvement in addressing our public safety needs. Forest City Police Department operates under the community oriented policing philosophy to accomplish our goals of reducing crime and fear of crime. Forest City Police Department will accomplish these goals by active problem solving by each departmental employee and the continued involvement of our community in our policing practices.
Forest City Police Department is open Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Those needing to speak to Forest City Police Department staff during regular business hours need to call (828) 245-5555. After hours, officers can be contacted by calling Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Central Communications at (828)286-2911. If you have an emergency, during business or non-business hours, you should call 911 immediately.
