Douglas Cerrato Rubio

The Forest City Police Department has learned the identity of the man who was fatally shot Wednesday night February 24th, 2010 on South Broadway Street. Investigators have determined the victim was Douglas Cerrato Rubio a 46 year old hispanic male. His last known address was in Monroe, North Carolina. The autopsy was completed on Friday, February 26th and it was determined that the victim did die from a gunshot wound to the chest. Investigators plan to meet with the District Attorney next week to discuss any charges.

Forest City Investigators are still seeking any information on the suspect vehicle or other suspects who were involved. If you have information you are asked to call Lt. *An employee of Wal-Mart reported an incident of shoplifting/concealment. (See arrest of Erwin)


*An employee of Wal-Mart reported an incident of shoplifting/concealment and drug activity. (See arrest of Beaver)


*Judith McClain, of Main Street in Forest City, reported an incident of assault on a female. (See arrest of Huskey)


*Cortina Hart, of Groce Street in Forest City, reported an incident of damage to property.


*An employee of the Town of Forest City reported an incident of credit card fraud.


*An employee of the Waffle House reported an incident of larceny by employee.


*An officer of the Forest City Police Department reported an incident of arson of woodlands.


*Judy Roberts, of Groce Street in Forest City, reported an incident of burglary.


 

Arrests

 

*Byron Hall, age 34, of Island Creek Road in Lake Lure was arrested on a warrant for breaking and entering and larceny by employee. He received a $25,000.00 unsecured bond.


*Robin Hall, age 39, of Island Creek Road in Lake Lure was arrested on a warrant for breaking and entering and larceny by employee. He received a $25,000.00 unsecured bond.


*Danny Petty, age 47, of Doggett Grove Road in Forest City was arrested on a fugitive warrant. He received a custody release.


*Stephanie Erwin, age 27, of Sugarloaf Road in Hendersonville was arrested for shoplifting/concealment and two counts of resist, obstruct and/or delay an officer. She received a $3,000.00 secured bond.


*Calvin Huskey, age 51, of Main Street in Forest City was arrested on a warrant for assault on a female. He received a 48 hour hold.


*Timothy Beaver, age 28, of Hollis Road in Polkville was arrested for shoplifting/concealment, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $1,500.00 bond.


*Kellie Martin, age 28, of Hollis Road in Ellenboro was cited shoplifting/concealment. She received a written promise to appear.


*Kevin Cole, age 18, of Wells Drive in Forest City was arrested for possession of marijuana. He received a $300.00 secured bond.


*Jordan James, age 21, of Kent Drive in Forest City was arrested for possession of marijuana and personal use of a dealer tag. He received a $500.00 unsecured bond.
