Lt. Jay Moore
The Support Services Division primary job responsibilities are directed at enhancing police service in a support role to ensure the officers have the resources available to accomplish departmental goals and objectives.  The Support Services Division is commanded by Lt. Jay Moore.  Lt. Moore oversees fleet management, budget operations, information technology, police radio systems, records, communications and animal control.  Please click the highlighted areas for records and animal control to be redirected to their pages.  

Lt. Jay Moore is a native of Rutherford County and began his police career in 1987 with Forest City Police Department.  Lt. Moore has served in multiple positions with the Forest City Police Department including Patrol Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Property and Evidence Officer, Patrol Lieutenant and he presently serves as the Commander of the Support Services Division. 

Lt. Moore has received his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.  Lt. Moore is currently a member of the North Carolina Internal Affairs Investigators Association and the International Association for Property and Evidence.
